Stockton Parish Council
Stagecoach Bus Service
Stagecoach Bus have announced a number of changes to their services across the county from Saturday 22nd February.
Most are timetable amendments to reflect changing traffic conditions to ensure continued optimum operation, and a few are due to insufficient patronage to remain economically viable. The new timetable for Service 63 is available on the Parish Council website.
The Timetable has been completely revised on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays to improve reliability particularly in the peak period. The 1608 schooldays only journey from Stockton to Leamington is withdrawn due to minimal usage. The 1459 schooldays only departure from Leamington will no longer run via Rugby High School. This will be covered by a service 3A journey
Click below for the current Stagecoach timetable for services to Rugby and Leamington Spa until 21st February 2020 and the revised timetable effective from 22nd February.
From time to time there are road works and diversions in Stockton village and on the route between Rugby and Leamington Spa that create temporary changes to the bus times - you are advised to check on the Stagecoach website for such temporary changes/diversions.
Bus Pass Changes
From 1 April 2009 bus passes for the over 60's are no longer valid on:
* coaches on which more than half of the seats can be booked in advance (usually long distance coaches)
* park and ride services (although Johnsons who run the Stratford Park and Ride say that they will continue to accept the passes for the moment)
* buses intended primarily for tourists (e.g. open topped buses). This change has come about following complaints from local authorities at the seaside and other tourist centres that their bus services were being inundated by those with free passes.
The implementation of these changes will be at the discretion of each authority or operator so you may come across different interpretations in different parts of the country, such as the Johnsons decision above.
