South of Southam, EKFB are building a new road bridge on Kineton Road over the HS2 railway line. While we are able to complete most of the construction of the bridge next to the current road, there are occasions when we need to work in or near the carriageway which require a road closure.

On 1 and 2 May a short section of B4451 Kineton Road will be closed during off-peak hours (9.30am to 3.30pm.) HS2 will be undertaking some utility investigation and de-vegetation work along the side of the carriageway between the roundabout with Lark Road, and the Southam Rugby club.

The closure area is located south of the business park and Lark Road, so full access to the retail and sport facilities is available from the Southam direction. Access will be maintained from the south for residential properties within the closure area and Southam Rugby Club.

A diversion will be posted via Ufton, Harbury and Deppers Bridge.
