Affordable Housing in Glebe Close >
It is unlikely that there will be a start to building the houses until 2011 because of lack of funding from the government agency in this financial year and also to allow conditions of the planning pemission to be sorted out.

Bus Service Information >
Bus Service updates: A new evening bus service is now available whereby Customers are able to purchase a return ticket for £2 to travel from anywhere in Stratford District to either Stratford or Leamington after 1800. There are also important changes to bus routes and the way you can use your bus passes.

Cemex Planning Applications >
Cemex has submitted the Non Technical Summary relating to the the environmental impact assessment for the Spiers Farm quarry to Warwickshire County Council, and this will be registered and available for consultation shortly.

Obituary for Bob Eaton >
It is with great sadness that we report that Councillor Bob Eaton passed away on 4th June 2010.

Refuse Collection >
Bin collection schedule. SDC will now accept more materials in your blue recycling bin. These are PLASTIC FOOD TRAYS, YOGHURT POTS, MARGARINE TUBS, CLEAN TINFOIL. These are in addition to the existing collection of paper, glass bottles, plastic bottles, cardboard and food and drink cans. You should NOT recycle plastic bags or plastic wrapping.

Relaxed Rules at Warwickshire's Recycling Centres >
Warwickshire County Council's Vehicle Restriction Policy at the county's nine Household Waste Recycling Centres has been relaxed and now allows trailers of certain sizes.

SDC Community Initiatives >
Stratford On Avon District Council has a number of community initiatives planned including: a review of open space, sport and recreation provision across the district; an open day on Thursday 23rd September; and consultation regarding the Core Strategy.

School Holiday Activity Play Programme >
Positive about Young People are providing a full range of Activity Play Programmes throughout the Summer Holiday. Of local interest is the Snax 'n' Sports functions in Southam Rec each Friday from 12-2pm.

Stockton Skateboard Park >
The Parish Council is supporting a local intiative to build a 'multi-use' Rollerblade, Skateboard and BMX Bike ramp complex on Stockton Recreation Ground for use by local young people.

Would you like an allotment? >
The Parish Council is working with a group of villagers who are keen to rent allotments in the village. However, the initiative will only be cost effective if there is sufficient demand.

NSPCC Helpline >
How do you protect our local children from abuse or neglect? The NSPCC Helpline is a free, 24-hour service that offers support and advice, by phone or email, to any adult worried about a child.

Southam/Feldon Community Forum 23rd June >
Notes from Southam/Feldon Community Forum (including surrounding villages) which was held on Wednesday 23rd June at The Priors Hall, Priors Marston, Warwickshire CV47 7RS. Community Forums give YOU the opportunity to raise issues of local concern and keep up to date with what is happening in YOUR community.

Sheila and Dennis Stevens have been awarded the accolade of 2009 Villager of the Year.

WCC's Community Development Fund >
The Community Development Fund is designed to help communities, particularly in the more deprived parts of the County, to address issues of local concern to them. Local organisations and community groups are invited to apply for grants of up to £8,000 for one-off projects that will provide lasting benefit to the community.

The Parish Council has spent money in 2007/2008 on an innovative scheme to keep our grass verges in better order.

Concessionary Bus Travel >
From April 2008, the Government has extended free Concessionary Bus Travel to allow persons over 60 and defined disabled people to travel free on off-peak local bus services in England on the production of a nationally recognised bus pass.
